Repository Policy

1. Purpose

Scholar Insight Journal supports the principles of Open Access and responsible scholarly communication. The Journal encourages authors to disseminate, preserve, and maximize the discoverability and accessibility of their published research through reputable institutional, disciplinary, national, and general-purpose repositories.

This policy is intended to facilitate responsible self-archiving while maintaining accurate attribution, persistent identification, and the integrity of the scholarly record.

2. Author Self-Archiving Rights

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit their published work in an institutional, disciplinary, national, or other reputable scholarly repository of their choice.

Authors may deposit the Version of Record (VoR), i.e., the final published version of the article, immediately upon publication.

There is no embargo period for repository deposit.

The Journal does not require authors to obtain additional permission from the Journal for repository deposit when the deposit complies with this policy and the applicable Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.

3. Permitted Repositories and Scholarly Platforms

Authors may deposit their published work in reputable repositories and scholarly platforms, including but not limited to:

·        Institutional repositories maintained by universities or research institutions

·        National and governmental repositories

·        Disciplinary and subject repositories

·        General-purpose open repositories such as Zenodo and Figshare

·        Other reputable repositories that support long-term scholarly preservation and access

Authors may also share their published work through scholarly networking and researcher-profile platforms, such as ResearchGate and Academia.edu, subject to the terms and conditions of those platforms.

Where appropriate, subject-specific repositories such as arXiv or SSRN may also be used when the deposited work falls within their relevant subject scope.

ORCID is recognized by the Journal as a persistent researcher identifier and scholarly profile service, rather than a repository.

4. Version Permitted for Deposit

The Journal permits the immediate deposit of the Version of Record (VoR).

The Version of Record is the final published article as formally published by Scholar Insight Journal, including its final bibliographic information, DOI, pagination or article identification, licensing information, and other publication details.

Where an author wishes to deposit an earlier version, such as a submitted manuscript or accepted manuscript, the deposited version should be clearly identified as such and must not be presented as the final published Version of Record.

5. Conditions for Repository Deposit

When depositing an article, authors should:

·        Clearly acknowledge Scholar Insight Journal as the original publisher.

·        Provide the complete bibliographic citation of the published article.

·        Include the article's Digital Object Identifier (DOI) where assigned.

·        Provide a persistent or direct link to the official published version on the Journal's website.

·        Clearly display the applicable CC BY 4.0 license.

·        Preserve the article's authorship, publication, and bibliographic information.

·        Ensure that the deposited copy is complete and accurately represents the permitted version.

·        Avoid altering the published Version of Record in a manner that could compromise its authenticity or bibliographic integrity.

6. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright in their published works in accordance with the Journal's Copyright Policy.

Articles published by Scholar Insight Journal are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license unless otherwise stated on the individual article.

The CC BY 4.0 license permits sharing, distribution, adaptation, and reuse, including commercial reuse, provided appropriate attribution is given.

Repository copies must retain the applicable copyright, licensing, attribution, and bibliographic information.

7. Persistent Identification and DOI

Scholar Insight Journal assigns Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through Crossref to published articles where applicable.

Authors are encouraged to include the article DOI in all repository records and scholarly profiles to facilitate persistent identification, reliable citation, interoperability, and discovery.

The DOI should resolve to the official Version of Record on the Journal's website.

8. Metadata and Attribution

Repository records should, where supported by the repository, contain accurate bibliographic metadata, including:

·        Article title

·        Author name(s)

·        Author affiliations

·        Abstract

·        Keywords

·        Journal title

·        Volume and issue

·        Publication date

·        Page or article number, where applicable

·        DOI

·        ISSN

·        Copyright and licensing information

·        Link to the official published version

Accurate metadata helps improve discoverability, indexing, citation, and long-term identification of scholarly publications.

9. Long-Term Preservation

Repository deposit complements, but does not replace, the Journal's own digital preservation arrangements.

Scholar Insight Journal maintains digital preservation and archiving mechanisms through recognized preservation infrastructure, including LOCKSS and CLOCKSS, together with routine operational backups.

Repository deposit by authors provides an additional layer of accessibility and dissemination and may contribute to the resilience of the scholarly record.

10. Researcher and Funder Compliance

Authors may deposit their published work in repositories required or recommended by their institutions, research funders, or national research policies, provided that the deposit remains consistent with this policy and the applicable licensing terms.

The Journal supports responsible repository deposit as part of broader Open Access and research-transparency practices.

11. Withdrawal, Correction, and Retraction

Repository copies should remain linked to the official Version of Record.

If an article is subsequently corrected, updated, or retracted, the official Journal record will reflect the applicable editorial action in accordance with the Journal's Corrections and Retractions Policy.

Authors and repository administrators are encouraged, where technically possible, to maintain a link to the updated or corrected Journal record rather than removing the scholarly record without explanation.

12. Journal Commitment

Scholar Insight Journal is committed to responsible self-archiving, Open Access, research transparency, persistent identification, and the long-term accessibility of scholarly publications.

The Journal encourages authors to use reputable repositories and scholarly platforms to increase the visibility, accessibility, dissemination, and potential impact of their research while preserving the integrity and authenticity of the scholarly record.

13. Policy Review

This policy is reviewed periodically and may be updated to reflect developments in Open Access, repository standards, digital preservation practices, licensing requirements, DOI infrastructure, and international scholarly publishing standards.

Any substantive changes to this policy will be reflected on the Journal's official website.
