Author Guidelines

Authors are kindly requested to carefully follow the guidelines below when preparing manuscripts for submission to Scholar Insight Journal. Manuscripts that do not comply with these requirements may be returned to the author(s) for revision before entering the peer review process.

1. Scope of the Journal

Scholar Insight Journal publishes high-quality, original, and unpublished research articles, review articles, and case studies in the broad fields of Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, and closely related interdisciplinary disciplines. The journal welcomes scholarly contributions that demonstrate originality, methodological rigor, ethical research practices, and significant academic value.

2. Submission Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal's online submission system.
  • The submitted manuscript must be original, unpublished, and must not be under consideration for publication by any other journal or publisher.
  • All listed authors must have made a significant scholarly contribution to the work and must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.
  • The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed, approved, and agreed to the submission and publication of the manuscript.
  • Where applicable, authors should disclose funding sources, acknowledgements, conflicts of interest, ethical approvals, and data availability information at the time of submission.

3. Formatting Guidelines

Authors should prepare their manuscripts according to the following requirements:

  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point
  • Line Spacing: Double-spaced throughout the manuscript
  • Page Size: A4 with standard margins
  • Language: Clear, concise, and grammatically correct English
  • Headings: Use APA 7th Edition heading style
  • Citation and References: APA 7th Edition
  • Word Count: Normally between 4,000 and 8,000 words (excluding references, tables, figures, and appendices)
  • Abstract: 150–250 words
  • Keywords: 4–6 keywords immediately following the abstract

4. Structure of the Manuscript

Unless the nature of the study requires otherwise, manuscripts should normally include the following sections:

  • Title Page (Title, Author(s), Affiliation(s), ORCID iD where available, and Corresponding Author details)
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Literature Review (where applicable)
  • Research Methodology
  • Results / Findings
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion and Recommendations
  • Funding Statement (where applicable)
  • Acknowledgements (where applicable)
  • Conflict of Interest Statement
  • Data Availability Statement (where applicable)
  • References

5. Ethical Considerations

Scholar Insight Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the principles and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authors are required to ensure that:

  • The submitted work is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  • Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, and citation manipulation are strictly prohibited.
  • All manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software before the peer review process.
  • Any actual or potential conflicts of interest, financial or non-financial, must be disclosed at the time of submission.
  • Research involving human participants or animals must have received appropriate ethical approval from the relevant institutional ethics committee, where applicable.
  • Authors are solely responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and authenticity of all data, analyses, and conclusions presented in their manuscripts.

6. Figures and Tables

  • All figures, tables, charts, and illustrations should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are cited in the text.
  • Each figure and table must include a clear, concise, and descriptive title or caption.
  • Figures and tables should be placed as close as possible to their first citation within the manuscript.
  • Images, graphs, and illustrations must be of high quality with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
  • Where figures or tables are reproduced or adapted from previously published sources, authors must obtain the necessary copyright permissions and provide appropriate acknowledgements.

7. Language

  • Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English.
  • Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally proofread or edited before submission.
  • The journal may return manuscripts requiring substantial language revision before they are sent for peer review.

8. Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal's scope, quality, and ethical standards. Suitable manuscripts are then subjected to a double-anonymous peer review process by at least two independent expert reviewers.

Based on the reviewers' reports, the Editor-in-Chief may reach one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revision
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Reconsider after major revisions
  • Reject

Authors are expected to address all reviewer comments carefully and submit a revised manuscript together with a detailed response to reviewers within the specified time.

9. Publication Fee

The journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) only after a manuscript has successfully completed the peer review process and has been formally accepted for publication.

  • Pakistani Authors: PKR 15,000
  • International Authors: USD 80

No submission fee is charged, and payment is requested only after acceptance.

10. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the copyright and full publishing rights of their work.

Upon acceptance, authors grant Scholar Insight Journal a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, archive, preserve, and identify itself as the original publisher.

All published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits unrestricted reading, downloading, copying, sharing, distribution, reproduction, adaptation, and reuse of the published work, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the journal, a link to the CC BY 4.0 license is provided, and any changes made are clearly indicated.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off each of the following items. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned.

  1. ☐ The submission is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  2. ☐ The manuscript file is in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.

  3. ☐ The text is formatted according to the journal’s Author Guidelines (Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced, APA 7th edition referencing).

  4. ☐ The submission includes an abstract (150–250 words) and 4–6 keywords.

  5. ☐ All figures and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points and are properly numbered and captioned.

  6. ☐ All references are cited correctly and formatted according to APA 7th edition.

  7. ☐ The manuscript has been checked for grammar, clarity, and plagiarism (plagiarism must be below the journal’s acceptable threshold).

  8. ☐ All authors have read and approved the final manuscript, and any conflicts of interest have been disclosed.

  9. ☐ Where applicable, ethical approval and informed consent have been obtained for studies involving human or animal subjects.

  10. ☐ I agree to the journal’s copyright, open access, and publication fee policies.
