Publication Policy

1. Purpose

Scholar Insight Journal is committed to publishing original, rigorous, and ethically conducted scholarly research through a transparent and independent editorial and peer-review process.

The Journal follows the principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), where applicable, the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and internationally recognized standards of scholarly publishing.

The Journal applies these principles in accordance with the subject areas covered by its aims and scope.

2. Publication Frequency

Scholar Insight Journal is published quarterly, with four issues per calendar year.

The Journal maintains a regular publication schedule and makes published content available online as part of its Open Access publishing model.

3. Submission and Originality

Submitted manuscripts must:

·        Be original scholarly work.

·        Not have been formally published elsewhere.

·        Not be simultaneously under consideration by another journal.

·        Fall within the Journal's aims and scope.

·        Comply with the Journal's Author Guidelines and ethical requirements.

·        Provide accurate and complete author, affiliation, funding, and other required information.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts submitted to the Journal comply with applicable ethical, legal, and institutional requirements.

4. Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment before peer review.

Editorial screening may consider:

·        Relevance to the Journal's aims and scope.

·        Originality and scholarly contribution.

·        Academic quality and methodological soundness.

·        Compliance with formatting and submission requirements.

·        Research and publication ethics.

·        Plagiarism and inappropriate text similarity.

·        Potential conflicts of interest.

·        Compliance with the Journal's policies.

The Journal may decline manuscripts at the editorial screening stage when they do not meet the Journal's requirements.

5. Peer Review

Scholar Insight Journal follows a double-anonymous (double-blind) peer-review process.

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts on the basis of criteria including:

·        Originality and significance.

·        Academic and theoretical contribution.

·        Methodological appropriateness.

·        Accuracy and coherence of analysis.

·        Engagement with relevant scholarly literature.

·        Clarity of presentation.

·        Ethical compliance, where applicable.

Reviewers provide recommendations to the editor. Final publication decisions are made independently by the Editor-in-Chief or designated editor based on the overall scholarly assessment, reviewer reports, editorial judgment, and the Journal's policies.

The Journal does not guarantee acceptance on the basis of payment, affiliation, nationality, or any other non-scholarly consideration.

6. Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based on the scholarly quality, originality, relevance, methodological soundness, and ethical compliance of manuscripts.

Editors are expected to exercise independent academic judgment and to avoid discrimination based on an author's nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, religion, political or personal views, or other irrelevant characteristics.

Commercial considerations, including payment of publication charges, do not determine editorial decisions.

7. Editorial Decisions and Revisions

Editorial decisions may include:

·        Accept

·        Minor Revision

·        Major Revision

·        Reject

Where revisions are requested, authors may be required to provide a revised manuscript and a response explaining how reviewer and editorial comments have been addressed.

The Journal may send revised manuscripts for additional peer review where necessary.

8. Plagiarism and Research Misconduct

The Journal does not tolerate plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate or redundant publication, inappropriate image manipulation, citation manipulation, authorship misconduct, or other forms of research or publication misconduct.

Submitted manuscripts may be screened using appropriate similarity-detection tools.

Allegations of misconduct are investigated in accordance with the Journal's Publication Ethics, Plagiarism, and Research Integrity policies and relevant COPE principles.

9. Authorship and Contributor Responsibility

Authors must meet appropriate authorship criteria and should agree on the authorship and order of authors before submission.

All listed authors must have made a substantial contribution to the work and must approve the submitted and final versions of the manuscript.

Changes to authorship after submission or acceptance require appropriate justification and approval in accordance with the Journal's authorship procedures.

Individuals who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately where relevant.

10. Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to disclose relevant conflicts of interest that could influence the research, review, or editorial decision-making process.

Editors and reviewers should not participate in decisions involving manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest.

11. Research Ethics

Authors are responsible for ensuring that research involving human participants, personal data, animals, or other ethically sensitive subjects complies with applicable ethical standards and institutional or regulatory requirements.

Where applicable, manuscripts should provide appropriate information concerning ethical approval, informed consent, or other relevant ethical safeguards.

12. Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI

The Journal recognizes the appropriate use of artificial intelligence and generative AI tools in scholarly publishing but requires transparency and responsible use.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors or assigned authorship responsibilities.

Authors must disclose relevant use of generative AI in manuscript preparation where required by the Journal's Artificial Intelligence Policy.

AI-generated or AI-assisted content remains the responsibility of the human authors, who are responsible for its accuracy, originality, integrity, and appropriate citation.

13. Article Processing Charges

Any applicable Article Processing Charges (APCs), waivers, or discounts are publicly disclosed on the Journal's website.

Where an APC applies, it is administered independently of the scholarly evaluation of the manuscript.

Payment of an APC does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

14. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright in their published works in accordance with the Journal's Copyright Policy.

Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license unless otherwise stated.

The Journal's licensing and copyright arrangements are publicly disclosed on its website.

15. Open Access

Scholar Insight Journal is an Open Access journal.

Published articles are made immediately available online without subscription or access barriers, in accordance with the Journal's Open Access Policy.

16. Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern

The Journal is committed to maintaining the integrity and reliability of the scholarly record.

Where necessary, the Journal may publish:

·        Corrections

·        Retractions

·        Expressions of Concern

·        Other appropriate post-publication notices

Such actions are taken in accordance with the Journal's Corrections and Retractions Policy and relevant COPE principles.

17. Complaints and Appeals

Authors may raise legitimate concerns regarding editorial or peer-review decisions through the Journal's established complaints and appeals procedures.

Complaints are handled fairly, confidentially, and independently of the editorial decision wherever reasonably possible.

The Journal does not accept complaints solely because an author disagrees with a properly conducted scholarly judgment; however, procedural errors, ethical concerns, conflicts of interest, or evidence of misconduct may be reviewed.

18. Long-Term Preservation

The Journal is committed to the long-term preservation and continued accessibility of its published scholarly record.

Published content is preserved through the Journal's stated digital archiving and preservation arrangements, including LOCKSS and CLOCKSS, together with routine operational backups.

19. Repository and Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit their published work in appropriate institutional, disciplinary, national, and general-purpose repositories in accordance with the Journal's Repository and Self-Archiving Policy.

The Journal permits immediate repository deposit without an embargo, subject to the applicable licensing terms.

20. Persistent Identification and Metadata

The Journal assigns Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through Crossref to published articles where applicable.

The Journal maintains bibliographic metadata to support discoverability, indexing, citation, interoperability, and persistent identification of published research.

Authors are encouraged to use the assigned DOI when citing, sharing, and depositing their published work.

21. Publication Record and Post-Publication Integrity

The Journal maintains the published Version of Record as the authoritative scholarly record.

Published articles are not ordinarily altered after publication except through formally documented corrections, updates, retractions, or other editorial notices.

Any substantive post-publication action is documented transparently and linked to the relevant article record where technically possible.

22. Policy Review

This Publication Policy is reviewed periodically and may be updated to reflect developments in scholarly publishing, research ethics, Open Access, digital preservation, indexing requirements, and international publishing standards.

Material changes to the policy will be reflected on the Journal's official website.
