Article Processing Charges (APC) / Fee Policy

Scholar Insight Journal follows a transparent and clearly defined publication fee policy to support the costs associated with manuscript processing, peer review management, editorial services, online publication, website maintenance, and long-term accessibility of published research.

The journal charges an initial submission fee as part of the overall publication processing charges. Payment of this fee does not guarantee acceptance or publication, and all manuscripts remain subject to editorial screening and peer review.

1. Article Processing Charges (APC)

Article Processing Charges (APC)

The journal charges a total Article Processing Charge (APC) as follows:

For International Authors

  • Initial Submission Fee: USD 10

  • Total APC: USD 80

For Pakistani Authors

  • Initial Submission Fee: PKR 2,000/-

  • Total APC: PKR 15,000/-

The initial submission fee is payable at the time of submission and is included in the total APC. The remaining APC is payable after formal acceptance. The payment does not influence editorial decisions or acceptance of manuscripts. No other or hidden charges apply.

2. Purpose of Publication Fees

The collected publication charges are used to support:

  • Editorial and peer review management systems.

  • Online journal platform maintenance.

  • Digital preservation and accessibility of published articles.

  • DOI registration and metadata management (where applicable).

  • Administrative and publishing services.

The journal remains committed to maintaining academic independence and ensuring that financial considerations do not affect editorial decisions.

3. Payment Policy

  • Authors are requested to pay the applicable charges only according to the instructions provided by the Editorial Office.

  • Payment confirmation should be submitted to the journal administration for record purposes.

  • Publication processing will proceed after confirmation of payment and completion of all editorial requirements.

4. Refund Policy

All payments made to Scholar Insight Journal at any stage of the publication process are non-refundable.

However, payment of processing charges does not guarantee publication. Manuscripts must successfully complete the editorial evaluation and peer review process before acceptance.

5. Waiver and Discount Policy

Scholar Insight Journal may consider partial waivers or discounts in exceptional cases, depending on institutional policies, author circumstances, or special academic initiatives.

Any waiver or discount decision is made separately and does not affect the fairness or integrity of the peer review process.

6. Transparency and Ethical Publishing

Scholar Insight Journal follows internationally recognized principles of transparent scholarly publishing. The journal ensures that:

  • Publication fees are clearly communicated to authors before submission.

  • Editorial decisions are independent of payment considerations.

  • Authors receive equal treatment regardless of their financial status.

  • No additional hidden charges are applied after acceptance.

The journal follows best practices recommended by international scholarly publishing organizations, including the principles of ethical publishing promoted by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
